Using colour, I endeavour to interpret a sense of the contrasting and sometimes dramatic atmospheric qualities found with in the landscape and through the exploration of textural surface, depict a sense of the physicality and strength of the earth.

I avoid the detail of realism that might distract the visual senses from the overall sense of emotion with in my work and try to project a quality of atmosphere that we find often links us spiritually with certain places in the natural world.
